- To order comment on respective producers post.
- Make a note what you ordered as well as the date for meet up.
- Meet the producers and collect the goods at a set place.
Next meet up: 5th April 6-7 pm at Pusterviksplatsen.
How does it work?
The farmer post about their goods in the group and then you just comment what you would like to order. Every Thursday between 6-7 pm everyone meets up at the same place in the city. Everything is pre-ordered so no waste nor any need for permits.
An event is linked to the group with a map to the meet up point...

We're going to have a meeting about starting a new sustainable café accepting STEEM functioning as a physical meet-up where you can talk and trade crypto!

I would love to be able to pay with my crypto more on fiat world. Bitcoin is already taking bigger leaps here but I fing it very expensive to pay for my coffee with that! I hope someday we can have a steemcard and I can go to shop and just use that like a creditcard and pay! :D

What an excellent initiative to make farmers' market possible everywhere. I'd be waiting for your guide to set up local farmers market ...using Steem, that would be awesome!
But let me tell you that inclusion of animal products among the fresh, locally grown farm produce is beyond me! Whether meat is organically grown, free-range produce or anything else, meat is never sustainable. I wonder how KRAV certifies it. Meat will always be meat fetched from murdering some innocent being. How can such farmers market can foster compassionate and friendly feeling for one and all?
I always avoid going to a vegetable market where meat too is being sold. In fact, it's not even allowed in my city. Meat is always sold from some secluded place elsewhere. Can you mandate any thing like this in your model of farmers market?

@reko, I like the fact that you're using every available platform you can lay hold on to promote steemit. It's such a good strategy that will bring great rewards in the near future for you.
The model used here to integrate farmers and plan their meet up is very effective and replicable too. And to add to the fact that all their goods can be pre-ordered and picked up upon arriving makes farmers want to be a part of it. People like it that their time is being saved and they can get this done quicker.

Promoting Steem I see, great job man. Can't wait for the café to spring up. More initiatives like this are needed to promote Steem which will consequently increase its value. Will be working on something similar over here too myself, for stores although.

I thought of the same thing because we have a local farmers market here in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA) It would be perfect for small transactions and small merchants. There's really no need to cash out in a local economy either, because as soon as you buy my carrots, I'm going to go and buy your honey. And because the blockchain is more stable for a 2-3 day period, at the current rate, there's no problem cashing out at the end of the day or converting to Steem Power on Steemit or anything else. It would however be helpful if there was a mobile wallet developed that traded in fiat, btc, tether, steem, ltc, etherium, and other coins. Perhaps someone should try to get STEEM and SBD into a newer blockchain based multiwallet like ethos.io . I like what you're doing though. I posted about Steem Local on my page a couple of weeks ago. I joined your discord but I'm not on much. See you around.
