RE: How Steemit Got Me Blogging Again (And a Plea for Help)

in #promo-steem6 years ago

@blockurator,

Some interesting ideas.

I like the idea of a literary magazine the best. Steemit has an extreme problem with "curation." Because of bid-botting and multi-account self-upvoting, the capital that was supposed to be dedicated to content discovery is all-but-non-existent (this is probably a fatal flaw for the blockchain unless it changes quickly ... I'm writing an article). As a result, great content continuously goes unrecognized.

If you remain disciplined, and only choose content on the basis of its merit, your magazine will develop credibility and it is inevitable that it would attract third-party curators. So, you rent delegation and front-run them, creating a substantial source of revenue. Moreover, a magazine creates the potential for advertising, another source of revenue.

I have some other ideas and insights (working on a few myself) but I'd reserve those for private conversation. Drop me a DM if you're interested QuillFire #7038
