THE POWER OF IDEAS: Let's Go Launch A New STACH Hub In Uyo, Nigeria!

Hello Steemians,

As I'm typing this with my right hand, my left hand is being used to pack my bag and ready my wears for a journey to the city of Uyo! I will spend one or two nights there just to get a feel of this special city.

Its special coz its my first time! Also I'm gonna meet alot of special steemians who I have been working with on #AIR-CLINIC over there. Many newbies can finally say they have seen @NairaDaddy. Lolx!

Uyo is a city at the heart of Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria. The state is located in the South-South geopolitical zone, and is bordered on the east by Cross River State, on the west by Rivers State and Abia State, and on the south by the Atlantic Ocean and the southernmost tip of Cross River State.

According To Wikipedia;

Akwa Ibom is one of Nigeria's 36 states, with a population of over five million people. The state was created in 1987 from the former Cross River State and is currently the highest oil- and gas-producing state in the country. The state's capital is Uyo, with over 500,000 inhabitants. Akwa Ibom has an airport and two major seaports on the Atlantic Ocean with a proposed construction of a world-class seaport Ibaka Seaport at Oron. The state also boasts of a 30,000-seat ultramodern sports complex. Akwa Ibom state is also home to the Ibom E-Library, a world-class information centre.

They are made up majorly of the the Ibibio-speaking people. Other ethnic groups include: Annang, Eket and Oron. The Uyo people also speak Pidgin English and of course English itself.

I have heard so much about the city before now but haven't seen with my eyes. Rumour has it that their roads are tarred to a fault; their streets are clean; their transport system is orderly; their cultural heritage is rich and their people are courteous. I also heard that they have alot of beautiful species! (coughs)

I will be travelling from Delta State.

According to Google Map, my journey will take about 5 hours+ from my current location. We all know that may not be feasible due to the fact that I'm using public transportation. So I'm estimating that it may take me up to 8hrs to get there. Essentially, I will be leaving in the morning to get to my destination in the day time.

Hopefully I will get there safely!

What I'm I going to Uyo to do?

Well, let's just say I'm going there to activate minds, to empower people and bring the impossible into the realm of the physical

I have been opportuned to be in sync with @Ejemai of @Stach. We have been working together to make #AIR-CLINIC a success. @Air-Clinic also has a space on the hub such that anyone in Uyo who wants to see a Doctor can easily connect with us and we will help out.

Its all part of the big vision of decentralizing the offline. What we are doing here is big. We aim to bring the hospitals to people. We aim to bring the Free Wifi to people. We aim to bring the Free 24/7 Electricity to people. We are taking over power from the governments and giving it back to the people where it truly belongs.

One very important thing that people don't know is that hubs help to make everything believable.

In my country, everyone is sensitive to scams. Over here we call it 419 schemes. So once you are telling them that they will earn money especially as a stranger they will give you that look of disbelief.

But once they can see a place where people are all gathered talking about and doing the same thing, they will understand how real it is. These hubs will serve as the headquarters of all STEEMIT activities in the world. People will be activated and motivated to keep working and believing in the platform.

The Steemians in Uyo are very active people. They believe so much in this platform. They are ably headed by @Samstickkz who has been said to have so much ginger (you will wonder whether he's related to Terry-G [not @surpassinggoogle lolx]).

So I already see every reason why this platform will do well because there are people like @Ejemai adding great value and bridging that gap between the technicalities of the platform and the masses that will utilize it.

#Air-Clinic is also going to be offline soon too. No more mincing words...just imagine for a minute that there is somewhere offline that you can get medical help and pay with steem. Imagine that you can get a good percentage discount for that. Imagine that yoou get to meet familiar faces that you have seen online. Yes! We are not bots.
