A wise man once said that whatever is worth doing, is worth doing well.
I never realized the full meaning of those words till yesterday.

• It was originally a plan made by just 3-5 people to meet and decide on the ways to move forward as a community.
• To grow , expand then grow again, incorporating others while at it.

But when the event began at 4pm sudden change of plans were made :

| The venue was changed to a more popular arena where more students would definitely pass by and create interest in what all the fuss was about .
| The shine!. Alot of color was added last minute, and it ended up as a color splash, all the better for publicity.
The initial color of the whole set up was simply dull brown. But after an epiphany of the quote earlier stated, we decided to incorporate some blue and red tables, some umbrella for shade and lots more.

| Food and drinks. Initially this was to be given but its would have been to a very limited number of people if not for the change in venue and we were ever happy to fill people's belly while telling them about the Gospel of STEEMIT.

ORDER OF THE PROGRAM

We had a great steemian in our midst that graced us with his presence all the way from Abeokuta @ewuoso.

@olanrewaju and @harbysco were the hosts of the day, they organized the events that took place in the program and he did an awesome job in that.

• We first took an attendance of all the STEEMIANS that were present.

• Then an introduction of how we all joined the steemit community went round.
  And it was at this point that people passing started to create interest and started flocking in.
  Usually people are timid to say their names and speak openly in public places to address faces they aren't familiar with but we weren't, and I think that's what attracted them.

• We then got down to the business of the day. *HOW TO MOVE FORWARD.
  That is; *how to build a good name and reputation on STEEMIT, *how to get constant steady income and also *how we could use STEEMIT to change our school !

@honourmaus the awesome guy, brother and Friend that introduced me to steemit , was a key organizer of the program and had an entire presentation on this.

#I was able to record a brief part of his introductory speech .

Discussions were made on the speech and we deliberated for a while, as all great minds are expected to and finally, we came up with 3 major take aways for the day.

• We all have to put value in STEEMIT if we ever want value back. Value in terms of time, money, and evangelism like this one. And recognize the fact that STEEMIT is the future and as so, must be treated as such; delicately and with respect.

And even when payouts are low and blogging starts to feel frustrating, never give up as there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Just keep writing awesome and original contents.

• You cannot be a Lone Wolf , you must never stop connecting.

• We must come together and form a strong supporting platform with value contributions from every body . In order to start making difference from where we are.. And that is LADOKE AKINTOLA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY OGBOMOSO OYO STATE NIGERIA.
