Cebu Steemians First Basketball League

Hi Everyone!

Hours from now, Cebu Steemians in cooperation with @basketball-cebu will be conducting its first ever basketball league. It started with the vision coming from @jassennessaj and attended with just 10 fellow Cebu Steemians on its first basketball meetup. Well below is our first meetup groufie.

After 6 weeks of warming up and playing friendly games, tomorrow would be our seventh week wherein there will be 3 matches with the participation of around 50 players, both Steemians and soon-to-be Steemians. The 3 matches are dedicated to the 6 teams which are vying for the title of being the first Cebu Steemian Basketball League Champions. Each teams are comprised with 8 players which are randomly selected by @dopinthezone and @melsmacan. The members of each teams are as follows.

Note: All teams doesn't have a specific team name as of now. Maybe tomorrow we would be able to know it.

Interestingly, I belong to the 5^th team and so happy that I am with my younger brother @jaykenneth and cousin @froeilanddave. Tomorrow they will be having more play time as I am going to play just limited minutes for I need to rest since this week I am full of tasks in my day time work and I will be tomorrow's most benched player (MBP, just kidding!)Tomorrow they will be going to the venue on their own since I will only go to the venue once I am done with my task (for I will be reporting to work to finish and send my output to our counterparts in Southfield, Michigan).

I would like to give thanks to @jassennessaj and to the planners like @melsmacan and @dopinthezone for the planning of our Basketball league and especially for the timing of the game. It coincides to the last week of the games in NBA and signalling the start of the offseason.

Overall, I am excited to see the exceptional moves like hassle plays from @sorenkierkegaard, three point shots being knocked down by @melsmacan, @getutua, @dopinthezone, jumpshots of @jassennessaj and many signature moves from fellow Steemians and soon-to-be Steemians. And more importantly, be able to promote Steemit and be able to build camaraderie and ties with fellow Cebuanos.
