A meeting was held today with the Rwanda steem promoters. There was a number of issues discussed where by the whole team portrayed the various activities sin order to take steemit to an other level. I ( @jona12 ) was in company with @bmotives, @ange.nkuru and @zahabu with whom we share the various perspectives to make steemit known by a large number of people. Promos did start officially though there are more plans and activities which must be fulfilled by the end of this year. We had planned a short term goal but also some long term goals.

Our discussion was centered on promos and projects to start on steemit. We had planned to make a steemit barners, more fliers and conducting more promos as soon as possible.

Here are the plans:

1. Reaching out to a large number of people: promos are normally done one by one but we intend to make it more wide than usual. This will be done through organising some conferences while attracting a good number of people on steemit. An office is already settled and we are planning to invite more people starting from young age to mature people. These are mostly students, business owners and other groups of people. We intend to reach to business owners because we believe in the spirit of investing on steem so as to affect the price posively in future days.

2. Printing out more fliers and barners: some few fliers are already there but we need more. This will be done through some collection from the group members whereby every promoter will have to contribute some sbds or steem to acquire more finance in order to reflect steemit to a good number of people. Barners will be used during meetups or displayed in our office where by everyone will have to ask and acquire knowledge about the steemit blockchain.

3. To work with media TVs, Radio and other social media as Facebook, Twitter, and many others: This plan has started being implemented where by most journalists are eager to learn how people get to be paid online. Online business is still new in Africa, mostly in Rwanda so having more knowledge about online business will be an upper hand to the community. Last week, @ange.nkuru, @bmktives and @zahabu did participate in an interview and could answer on various questions regarding steemit empowerment to the whole community.

4. To attract more Rwandan investors on steemit: More people are supper excited to join the cryptocurrency world. They have no choice of the right coin to invest in. The country will soon adopt cryptocurrencies where by most people will have to try their first turn with cryptocurrencies. We shall have to approach business owners to invest their millions and thousands of dollars on steemit. This plan will surely work since steemit seems the dominant cryptocurrency in Rwanda and the country is still young in crypto. This will be their first initiative of using the blockchain technology through steemit.

5. To form groups and association of steemians in all sides of the country: The country is so huge and we all can not meet at the same place. Those in the north, east west and south will have their particular places of meeting. These people will have to discuss about their challenges and success while exploring the steemit blockchain. These groups can also be in their particular schools or Universities. The students can allocate some few days to meet with other groups and also with steem promoters so as really make a step forward towards greatness.

6. We intend to participate in various community activities: This will enable us have an impact to the community by supporting and organising activities concerning the country. These activities are either road cleaning, removing grasses in public place and many other activities. This will emphasis the idea of giving back to the community of which we intend to be more responsive in community matters while welcoming and supporting new steemians. I believe that even the government will be eager to know more about us and may be support our activities of spreading awareness.

7. Organising contests: well, we are still young with very small steem power. Nonetheless, this should not be a barrier towards supporting the community. Having a team delegated with some steem power will be awesome so as the whole community can earn through their leaders. The contests can either be through writing or even physically related like organizing a steem race of which the first ones get rewards of some steem or steem dollars.

8. Sponsoring various teams, either football, basketball or volleyball: This plan will be one of our greatest achievement since the players will have to wear a steemit jersey which will attract a good number of people. This tactics is always done by big companies and we believe stepping in it will be an upper hand towards making steemit great not only in Rwanda, but in the whole East Africa.

9. Giving back to the community through donations and charity related activities: We intend to use most promo-steem post earning towards providing support to the people. These will be through visiting orphanages, elders, sick people, the desperate ones and any other group in need of help. This has an impact towards human values and compassion, it’s a sign of care and love to the sick and the poor ones and also an example to the future generations. We believe in the short and long term benefit not only the Rwandan Steemians, but also the whole Rwandan community.

10. Working hand in hand with Regional and International Steemit community: we have been in contact with Uganda steemians as considered to be the pioneers in East Africa. We intend to use some of their experiences, learning from them and having many other networks with other countries in Africa, U.S.A, Europe and Asia.

These are some of the activities intending to be achieved and we shall be in need of some support from the steemit community all over the world.
