Inaugural Africa Blockchain Conference Ends With New Blockchain Converts and Pastors lol...check out

I am happy to have been part of history yesterday as the inaugural Africa Blockchain Conference came to the end.

This last two days were really life changing and have gone in the history books as i witnessed the first ever President in the world endorsing Blockchain technology.

We all know of how many countries and governments are still skeptical to the Blockchain technology.It was a different case here in Uganda this last two days.

The dates 23 and 24 May 2018 will arguably go down in history as the best days in Uganda's economy. This is a bold statement from me!

The first day began with the Governor of the central bank of Uganda being a bit negative towards Blockchain and the participants felt like cold water being poured in them!!!

I am happy to inform you that that cold feeling was removed by the presidents remarks about Blockchain ....he even said we need to emabrace it and they will sit with the Governor and discuss a way ahead of how to implement this technology.

You must have seen how we celebated ibn the room when the President endorsed Blockchain,him being the first President to officially do it...History being made right in front of my eyes.

I also have more great news as CZ(as he is commonly referred to) CEO of Binance,one of the largest crypto exchanges was in attendance to close the event and announced many plans of developing the Blockchain ecosystem in Uganda.

There was more great news as he announced possible expansion of Binance to Uganda,you should have seen us celebrating.

He obviously talked about crypto and it's future of how we can embrace,learn and benefit from it or fear and lose out!

The Binance CEO talked of many things which I will write in my subsequent posts next week.

There was really more great news as the CEO of Stanbic Bank Uganda said he was now converted to Blockchain technology! It seems you didn't read that well....let me repeat below!

The CEO of Stanbic Bank Uganda said he was now converted to Blockchain technology!

It's only people who know the signicance of that statement above who will celebrate!!

There was also more laughter in the room as the minister of ICT said he was now a pastor of Blockchain technology,he mentioned this just after the CEO of Stanbic Bank said he was a concert hahaha

I cannot reall describe the happiness I have after being among the history makers!

Did I tell you this is my first time to be in a room with a billionaire ???? You can confirm from the first image I used in this post!

We really had a great learning experience from all the experts who came to the event and we as Steemit Team Uganda did a lot it networking and advertising !

We were not surprised to realize that many Steemians were shocked to know of Steemit Uganda team! We understood that many people are on Steemit in Uganda but just need a community to organise them which we 're doing.

I had always bragged of how i was the first Ugandan on Steemit,but damn i met guys who are 19 months on Steemit!!

Yes you read that statement above right,19 months on Steemit and i also met some other guys not from Uganda who are on Steemit.Steemit is big guys.

I can now proudly say that am the first Ugandan to build a Steemit community and not the first Ugandan on Steemit!

I will be sharing stories and details of these Steemians with you in the next days.I even met with Nigerian Steemians....sorry I said I will share this in the coming days!
