Steem Ambassador 026: Update Steemit Diversity - Finally doing a seminar with the government.

"Why do we need the help of the government? Because we need to establish trust first"

  Steemit is an amazing platform and some might consider it as a gift of technology where everyone have a chance to earn just by simply sharing their knowledge.

...but how would you explain it? And where do you start?

  As Steem-Ambassador for #promo-steem, I've had my share of experiences when it comes to explaining Steemit, the blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. I listed few reasons why they wont sign-up below:

1. Alien Technology - I'm sure Im not the only one who struggled explaining blockchain technology to their friends and family. That's even harder when you try to explain it to a stranger.
   
2. False news - you can try to persuade someone by showing them different facts but that usually takes up a lot of effort and very hard to prove.
   
3. Easy money - I know its hard to be successful here on steemit but the way we promote it is like anyone who posts or blog can earn money. I dont entirely agree on this tag line it gives out false hope of "easy money" it also hurts our brand in two ways.

• New sign-ups will think that this is a get rich quick scheme, we may warn them that there are rules in place like no plagiarizing, no spamming and so on but the idea of easy money will remain and if they found that to be untrue they will quit as a minnow hence thousands of stagnant minnow accounts.
• People dont have any invested interest on our platform.Ex. In events, there are more people who will come to an event because they paid for it compared to a free event.

Basically we need to create trust when promoting something but we dont need to hype them up or brag about how much we earn and how easy they can do it. 

The best way for me is to promote the different communities like arts, poetry, writing, photography, contests and many more! 

Which is hard to get in the normal world even in social media you wont find the amount of support to each individual that this platform have and that's worth more than the monetary aspect of Steemit!

  We finally did it! It only took us 2 tv interviews, an approval as @steem-ambassador from #promo-steem, and cash-out proof from my other invites. 

  The only reason why we need the governments approval is for us to establish trust. With this seminar from the government, we can remove all kinds of cynicism from everyone who'll try to ask about the credibility of the platform or of our seminar/events in the future. 

 

What's the scope of the seminar? 

• How to earn with steemit? 
• On the spot mentorship for their introduction post.
• How to do an introduction post for @slothicorn
• How to cash out their earnings using coins.ph? 
• How can they invite other people to the platform?

The last part is the most important one cos the goal of each seminar is to create a community for new users and then teach them on how to make it grow.

• Retain more users.
• Diversified communities on Steemit
• Easier promotion cos each community will then invite more people on their own.
• Possible TV promotion.
• Some will invest in Steem to power-up for their community.
• We can urge other exchanges to include Steem/SBD to their platform as it becomes mainsteam.
