Steem Church Invasion Meet-up with Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria(CYON)-St Mary's Chapter: A success story

Greetings from the edusteem project family… We are bringing to you yet another success story of Steem Church Invasion Meet Up with the CYON at St Mary'sCatholic Church Karu Abuja. We were invited after our successful steem church invasion with NACG at the same church to come and preach the Gospel of Steem to its members.

We were contacted through @oliverwilliams who happens to be a member of the said organisation in the church (CYON) as well as NACG. We were given few minutes to address the youths.

Our message

• @eugenecr7 spoke to the CYON members about steemit and its benefits and why they need to join the steem blockchain. The CYON members watched with rapt attention as i spoke to them.

• @sunny4glow also spoke on why steemit is different from other social media. This was done excellently well, disabusing their minds of linking steemit to MMM and other ponzi groups. Considering the fact that Nigerians have not yet overcome the pain caused by ponzi groups. Because, the first thing that comes to the mind of Nigerians is 'is this not another ponzi group again'? They were all surprised that a group exists that can reward you for your content wihout asking you to pay a fee.

We had planned that @farida and @trendyevents will speak on the topic "how she joined steemit and her jorney so far and ways you can attract followers and earn on the platform" respetively. This did not happen because the time given to us was limited.

Attendance

In attendance was about a hundred (100) members. It was fun as the number present was encouraging and members came asking how they can register on the steem blockchain.
