in #promo-steem7 years ago (edited)

Hello guys… I am writing to inform you of our successful meet-up at the National Association of Catholic Graduates (NACG) monthly meeting at St. Mary's Catholic Church Karu Abuja, Nigeria.

The venue for our meetup@St. Mary's Catholic Church, Karu Abuja.

The edusteem team went there as early as 10am, attended mass and immediately after the mass, the meeting commenced. As the meeting progressed,
we were invited to do our presentation, @suuny4glow spoke to the members briefly about us and introduced me @eugenecr7 to give my talk.

On stage, i spoke briefly about the steem blockchain and its benefits and why steemit.com is a better social media platform.

@sunny4glow also spoke to our listerners of the difference between steemit and other social media platforms and its importance.

@farida came up and motivated our listeners telling them of her achievements and how she has been able to pay her fees and that of her siblings. She also bought a phone, a new shoe and filled her mums gas cylinder from her earnings on steem blockchain among others.

@trendyevents spoke on how to interact on the steem blockchain and its importance.

All these happened in less than 30 minutes because we were given limited time and the NACG members present were kin to join and even asked questions like:

When the edusteem visited Government Secondary School, Mararaba Nasarawa State and distributed books and pens to students, how we got the funds for the project?

I told them i made a prepost informing the steemit community of my intention to distribute free educational materials to less priviledged students and the funds gotten from upvotes on the post was what was used to produce the branded steem exercise books we distributed to the students.

This made them very happy and most of them started registering on the platform even before we asked them to start registering. We met a steemian there who is a member of the group we visited by name @oliverwilliams. He was exited at our work and spoke to me concerning a meetup he is planning and would want us to work together as a team. We also presented 5 steem branded exercise books to NACG Presidents as gifts.

The edusteem project, steem church invasion meetup was successful. We succeeded in preaching the gospel of steem and got new converts. This was possible because of the support we have be getting from you all. God bless y'all. My appologies for not been able to put up the live streaming on dlive. This was due to bad mobile network.
