Meetup: promote steemit
Hello everyone, welcome to February....the last day of January (31st) was awesome. It was a steemit meetup by the credo community.
The meetup which took place in Nigeria, Rivers State, Port Harcourt to be precised at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology popularly called RUST, was an awesome event with over 50 newbies registration to steemit.
The meeting held at the NIFES secretariat, a liitle after the university main entrance.
It was nice to meet these fellow steemians @samiwhyte, @keban, @thelifewire, @braide, @missplendor, @wyxlight, @tekadii, @njokuoluchukwu and others which might take a long note to mention. I was to see you all..kudos
I was impressed by the turn out of students and members of credo community, for a small/new community just springing up, i must say.....CREDO and its members Amazed me. The university felt the impact that something happened.
We had a good number of 60-70 people on the average in attendance.
The aim of the meetup was to move the community forward, and make meaningful impact on the community via steemit not withstanding grow with steemit.
Few things on the agenda was
- Introduce steemit to the students of RUST
- Register as many as possible potential great steamians
- Teach the registered students how to go about the use of steemit to affect lives for the better.
It was indeed a wonderful time, i cant wait to see the Nigeria steemians moving forward and impacting lives, thanks to the creators of this platform, im not too familiar wit them, but thanks @ned, @dan and @steemit. All those who support the credo community in one way or the other, @starkerz, @infovore, @anomadsoul, @hr1 and others not mentioned, we are indeed Grateful. We will emerge a great community soonest.
