SteemCamp Project 2018 - THE FIRST OF ITS KIND - Promoting Steemit Using Entertainment

Drawing closer to the end of the year has been very hectic for me and my team members since the past 10 days as the case may be. We have been working on this outstanding project and believe me if I say it has not been easy.

The brainstorming to generate ideas on how to make the project successful by @michaelcj, the strategies on the mock-up and building of the website, social media pages, social media promotion by myself @casweeney, the painstaking time taken to design all the appealing graphics by @jacobite and @graface and the chief organizer of the pageant which involves drafting and analyzing all necessary strategies to enhance the pageant show by @nmalove.

I know you are still wondering what this project is and the motive behind it. Alright here it comes:

The SteemCamp event is a project that is aimed at promoting steemit in Nigeria and other African countries using entertainment as a medium to attract people. Its major aim is to empower youths and as well eradicate poverty by giving youths the opportunity to use what they know wisely and make a living from it.

Entertainment was used because in this part of the world, entertainment is the vehicle that is loved by all and since steemit has helped in empowering lives positively, we wish to use that which everybody love, to promote it.

Criteria for registration:

All participants must be registered on steemit and their usernames will be their identity for the event.

The event will be presented in two categories:

1. The Steem Talent Quest - This will be used to source for talented individuals who have a lot to offer but due to the economy their country, have been neglected.
   

1. The Miss Steem Pageant: This will involve a pageant competition that at the end, winners will go home with huge prizes.
   

The Grand Finale:

The grand finale is where the winners from each of the states will now contest to and the overall winner, will get the final price.

We will travel to different states of the country to scout for talents thence steemit will be known to all and it will be on air as top television broadcasting companies will be part of it.
