Whenever i see steemians lamenting about not getting upvotes, I do wonder if they are doing the right thing, there are some things one needs to be doing in other to be successful on this Steemit platform, it is not just by posting good content, most people post good content and I have seen lot of people with good post yet low earning on those post, which is why I bring this up for my fellow steemians..

Things that needed to be done in other to grow on steemit

Make friends/get connected

• I still believe the best way to grow on this platform is to make friends, associate with steemians, socialise with everyone, you really don't know who might wake up one morning to become your guardian angel.

Build your steem power

• Steem power really matters on Steemit, the more sp you have, the more powerful you become, the more people will love to know you, don't depend on earning from post alone, Steemit is here to stay, invest on it, buy steem power and watch your followers grow.

Comment

• To get noticed, comment helps a great deal, at least comment in steemians post ten times or more in a day , the more you relate with whales and dolphins and minnow, they will be eager to check on your blog too and return the favour.

Engage in contest

• There are different kind of contest you can engage in on Steemit, we have writing and voting contest, try to engage in them and your Steemit journey will continue to grow.

Discord app and steem chat

• A steemian who is not on discord or steemchat is just wasting his/her time, there are things happening there, join and mingle with other steemians and let us grow together
