The most colorful and grandest Sinulog festival 2018
Hi, Steemians:
Sinulog enthusiasts experienced the colorful and lively celebration. It is normally held every 3rd Sunday of January which lasts for 9 days. It's popular from local to international. If you are a traveler and party goer who wants to experience the solemn and fun festival, you'll definitely like it here celebrating with us. Local people tend to wake up early to watch the grand parade. Just like what steemph.cebu did today. Early setting up of the things in the booth area before the street dance has started. Basically, it starts at 9 am for street dancing so while waiting for it everyone was enjoying the moment taking photos and talking with fellow steemians since we made a photo booth and shootouts for steemit promotions. You are welcome to take pictures even if you are a non-steemian.
Despite the crowd, I conquered the way to take a chance to have a picture with their festival queen while they're still resting.
Steemians are very creative and talented so we did a henna tattoo, face painting for free and hair braiding for an affordable price. I've got hair braiding for only P150 pesos made by friends of @purpletanzanite.It's actually painful in my scalp cause I don't really comb my hair often. I could easily feel the pain in my head but I love it and the hair color made more special.
I'm so happy that I've met fellow steemians that I never knew personally. We are now becoming a huge community in Cebu. The number of the participants is beyond of our expectations.
The parade finished early before the expected time due to the numbers of contingent participants. It was not like before that parade lasted until 9-10pm. After the parade, my friend from CLE (Cebu Language Exchange came and join us for a while. It's great to see them who are now part of steemit.
Before leaving the booth area we personally said thank you to the "Kabalikat" non-government organization for giving us an area.
Steemians had a late lunch nearby. It's really good feeling to be together. I hope there will be more meetups, event, a festival where steemit can participate.
