Meet The Dogs Of SoCal Steemit: Sunday's SoCal Steemit Meet Up - Whittier Narrows Park

SoCal Steemit had another awesome meetup on Sunday in Whittier Narrows Park, and this was it's first Doggie Meet Up!
You all know my furbabies: Buddy and Happy by now from the Off Leash Adventure Series I write, but at this meet up they got to hang out with three other SoCal Steemit dogs to.

How better to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon than in a beautiful park, next to a lake meeting other member's of Steemit, chatting, eating and laughing together.

As we entered the park on Sunday afternoon, the dogs were super excited as this was a new place to explore. We found the Socal Steemit group at the picnic tables and Buddy and Happy almost lost their minds as @derekrichardson had brought his dogs PupPup:

and Skinny Minnie:

their best friends. Then they saw @mattlovell and a new guy @mikesthoughts and got even more excited...this meant one thing, they need a walk to get the edge off!

There is a beautiful big lake in the middle of the park, so I took the dogs off for a walk round it to get some energy out.
We bumped in to @creationofcare and her dog Brisket:

at the side of the lake, who then joined us for our walk.
The lake is bigger than you first think:

and there are lots of interesting climbing frames for the kids throughout the park;

Once we got back to the group, the food was already being laid out.
What a great selection:

Another SoCal Steemit member joined the group @agirlis about the same time that the grill was fired up:

Everyone was enjoying the food and conversations that were going on; some about Steemit, some about conspiracy theories, some just about life and who you are.

Even the dogs were not left out from all the good food; they shared a cheese burger between them, and each got a 100% beef hot dog! Grilled to perfection:

The other three dogs were a lot faster at eating their hot dogs, as this photo of happy proves LOL:

As the sun started to go down I took the dogs for another walk, as it was over an hours drive home in the car. This time we walked the other way round the lake and found that there is an Island for the ducks to live on:

and there are a lot of ducks here:

As Buddy didn't try chasing after them, I knew he was tired enough to go back to say our farewells to everyone and pack up the car to head back home.

All the dogs had a fun afternoon

and all the humans did to!

It was lovely meeting some new members, as well as catching up with the members we'd met before.
