LAUTECH STEEMIT COMMUNITY; A PROJECT TO ENHANCE CORPORATE AND INDIVIDUAL GROWTH OF OLD AND NEW STEEMIANS
Steemians are great, no controversy!!!!
It was a wonderful evening in LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Nigeria on the 22nd of March, 2018 when steemians gathered to deliberate and have a round table discussion on how to move the community forward, most importantly the institution based steemit community called "LAUTECH STEEMIT COMMUNITY".
LSC, as it is fondly called, serving as an acronym of LAUTECH STEEMIT COMMUNITY is a community of steemians who are students and alumni of the school, LAUTECH (Ladoke Akintola University of Technology). The community was born out of the fact that there is a need for a unified body consisting of steemians who study in lautech to get identified, informed and helped in any regard thereby bolstering and fostering the growth of everyone, both old and the new. This amongst many was the reason for LSC.
The turnout was impressive as a reasonable number of attendees was recorded which was fair enough for such a gathering.
I love LADOKITES (LAUTECH STUDENTS), always alive to responsibilities, diligent and pragmatic.
The meeting started and each steemian present wasted no time to introduce themselves and share their steemit experience so far with the whole house. Mehn! There are lots of stories, the funny, the amusing, the motivating, the overwhelming, the short and saucy, the long and interesting; above all steemians can make one laugh with their stories.
It was nice meeting new people, LSC is indeed promising and going places with those in attendance.
@harbysco was the first to talk, intimating us the mind of the organisers of the meeting which are highlighted below
• to have a recognised steemit community in LAUTECH Ogbomoso and its environs
• to help members to grow and find a home in steemit
• to propagate the gospel of steemit to students and staff of the school
• to be a pacesetter to others in setting up school based community
• to welcome contributions from the attendees on how to make LSC great
@honourmaus took the centre stage to expertly and explicitly buttress the points of the first speaker. I was so much into his talking as I picked every fragments of what he said, fully determined to contribute my quota to the growth of the community. He sounded so passionately to the extent that everyone's rapt attention was gained and the expression on everyone's face was giving consent to the movement, LSC. He said having LSC will not only help us this time but will speak for us in generations to come. He enjoined us to be pacesetters, be a community of great minds and be front-runners whose footprint can never be erased. He furthered his presentation by sharing the dividends in being a responsive and active members of LSC some of which are
• upvotes to increase earnings and rep
• connection with whales on whose shoulder one can lean on
• information on how to get improved and find a home in steemit
• explicit and well taught pros and cons of steemit including the gimmicks (clever ploys, tactics and strategies)
• chance to get famed, well-known and recognized
• a chance to help others and show some love to humanity
He made mention of the need to power up for steem power as it's ones contribution to help others.
He further beseech us to be good comrades, endorse the community, support the community and preach the community to those that are yet to know
@ewuoso who happened to be the invited steemian shared his thought and gave his advice as well. He shared his story of steemit with us and use it as a basis to advice us never to give up but be consistent and persistent. He said that one shouldn't be dismayed when one post with no reward because no one is mandated to upvote but out of the magnanimity and appreciation of good things, anyone who upvotes does so. He also said that the idea of converting every SBD/STEEM earned to fiat is not healthy enough as a proportion should be kept for powering up.
I enjoyed his speech, he spoke with confidence and in a manner that any newbie would have love to. Thanks for coming!
@olanrewaju anchored the "attendee's contributions" section which he started by adding to what the previous speakers said laying emphasis on the need for support, cooperation, train joining and benefit of LSC. He taught what steemauto.com is all about, how to register/log in and navigate. He said this about steemit that "if ponzi gave him ten naira, steemit has given him hundred of thousands naira".
His oratory prowess was laudable. Well-done!!!
@ttopswag was also available to contribute. His contributions were just among what the community needs to progress. He shared his wealth of experience on steemit with us and I was blessed to have met with him.
The way he succinctly addressed those points are commendable. You are great!!!
@lizbethk gave the closing prayer and also came with a placard carrying the name of the community and the day's agenda.
Photography and photo bombing was next after which the steemians present seized the opportunity to know about one another and exchange contacts.
It was fun!!!
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step so the journey of LSC has began with the meeting held yesterday, 22nd of March, 2018.
