Facebook is great. But it becoming very dangerous. It can influence billions of people for their own greedy. It makes money by selling our private data.
In addition to this, there is some insidious programming (brainwashing) going on in the feed algorithms, showing people who fit into different categories, "news" to shape their realities/biases.
steemit is still in its infancy. What it will become, has not yet been conceived.

You are right. even Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple once used it as a statement saying "Apple will never turn its customers into commodity". This is really a whole lot of eye opening for those who are ready for their eyes to be opened.
