A December 5, 2004 Jacqueline Silva Maria Jiron go to a ride that would cost her not only her freedom, but her innocence. The waters of that spa in Nicaragua, a key point in the story, were the most logical justification for the sudden disappearance of the girl was: drowning.
However, not finding the inert body and hearing the version of Jacqueline's brother who was also present at the scene, made the authorities determinate that the young girl was still alive and was forced into a white car.
María Silva, the wrecked mother and who was then in Costa Rica, launched a search plan. She has visited several countries of Central America and Mexico with the intention of finding the whereabouts of her daughter, whose absence goes to 14 years: "sold in a brothel in Guatemala," she said with deep sadness and helplessness.

Several witnesses recognized Jirón Silva in the disclosed photos: first she was seen at the Honduras border; later, in a brothel in El Salvador; and, finally, in Mexico.
The accused of the kidnapping to Honduras, called Esmeralda Mendoza, a prostitute and pimp in the area, was arrested in 2006 and sentenced to several years in prison. This woman didn't want to report anything about the little girl, whom she dragged, drugged and offered to various brothels, no matter the crying or the agitation of the child.
Jacqueline was not the first or the last minor victim of sexual exploitation. Unfortunately, the Central American entities dedicated to these injustices do not act with the necessary immediacy, either because of the lack of personnel or the little border security. Alive or not, she remains in an unknown location.
The anxiety advances and the world becomes more and more grim, crude and mean. The side of the good has easily countable members. There are still those who prefer to be blind witnesses or, worse, guilty without a sentence.
