A part of my family has always been superstitious. I do not know how to define their beliefs, but sometimes they seem extremely rare people: mirrors, clothespins, animals and even boxes can be perceived as bad luck.

My aunt is in favor of throwing away everything that has no remedy and donating what can be reused, while her ex-husband, is a compulsive accumulator of scrap. Maybe that's why they separated and converted my three cousins into nomads on two different homes.

I remember that, at Christmas time and before their divorce, my aunt Liliana and her (at that time) husband, Alonso, were decorating and painting the facade of their house. They put lights, armed the tree, hung little angels and left shepherds in the manger. Between music and the occasional beer, the 'gaitas' and the festive atmosphere led them and a group of neighbors to drunkenness.

My aunt was drunk despite discovering her pregnancy. It was irresponsible to follow the influence of a woman who had moved to her own urbanization. This mysterious lady had supposed psychic powers and sent her to a sorcerer for a review, because her sixth sense told her that someone sent her a malicious spell.

She predicted many things and guessed others, including events that left the listener speechless; It seemed that she has known Liliana for all her life.

In one of his "spiritual ecstasies", she connected, supposedly, with a spirit that haunted the boxes where they kept the Christmas ornaments of a lifetime. Apparently, this soul in pain was the former owner of the property that committed suicide. Alonso was the participant of an icy wind that paralyzed him. According to several members of the family, the decorations tended to change places or appeared turned over. An image of a Virgin simply dawned without iris in her eyes.

So many anecdotes that revolved around these religious objects and decorative Christmas classics made the couple believe that it was better to get rid of the box or give it away. The strange thing is that they could never disappear completely. If they gave it, for example, in donation, all those things would appear in the donation area of the company where Liliana worked.

Another curious fact is that the reappearance of the box always anticipated tragedies: shortly after its repeated arrival, my aunt Liliana lost her baby in a painful abortion.

Paranormal or not, something strange, call it a negative energy charge or drifting souls in this dimension, hides that simple cardboard box that now exist in the Alonso's departament.
