Holy Week of the year 2009. San Carlos, Cojedes, Venezuela ... If there is something that the superstitious ones respect too much, it is precisely the Venezuelan countryside; they consider it enigmatic, the main location of the most famous road stories. Holy Week, far from its divine objective, is also very feared: according to the inhabitants of the town, these days incite the awakening of evil spirits, ghosts and demons, who, in a contest of two worlds, try to dominate the heavenly angels .

Daniel Rodríguez, a 14-year-old, saw annual family trips to his grandmother's house as torture. Not only had to endure, for almost eight days, the same phantasmagorical opinions, very ridiculous for his taste, but it paralyzes the reach of new levels in his favorite video game, which was also one of the favorites of his little brother, David.

David Rodríguez, who at that time was 8 years old, never expressed happiness or disagreement with similar situations. Moreover, he almost never spoke, was withdrawn, had a closed behavior and an isolated personality. The father, an internist, believed, for almost a decade, that David was autistic. "Dav," as he is still known in his environment, was the opposite version of his brothers Daniel and Dianè, who is the eldest of the three.

One of those days, a Holy Thursday, the Rodriguez held a large meeting in the spacious house. They bought food and boxes of beer, placed gigantic horns that played joropo and, between dances, laughter and games of dominoes, created a fabulous festive atmosphere that fascinated the adults.

The younger ones were content to see, annoyed, the scandalous scenery. The timid David was overwhelmed and decided to lock himself in one of the many rooms of the domicile, seeking to escape from the bustle. Daniel wanted to follow him, because he resigned himself to the dream and the trouble; however, on the way to the room, his intestines began to roar, forcing him to momentarily change his path. Here is an ironic fact: a property with important hectares of extension had only one bathroom, which, to his bad luck, was occupied ... There was nothing left to endure.

The young man followed his wait without any news, until, from the same room where David entered, clearly heard a loud knock on the door and cries for help. Daniel ran to see what happened and went into the room alarmed, finding his brother peacefully asleep and wrapped. He felt confused, knew what he had heard. The supposed calm frightened him more. He thought, even that so long without his console was driving him crazy. Everything seemed a plot of his imagination.

He turned around and tried to return to the corridor, but he noticed other noises that this time made sense: the drawers of an old comb began to leave their places and the wood fell with enormous force to the floor, all this without awakening David, who, more than asleep, appeared to be hypnotized. Daniel was paralyzed with fear and shock. The fuss of the party did not allow anyone else to participate in this horrendous event ... However, out of courage and love, he wanted to get his little brother out of there, carrying him on his shoulders. When he took it, his body would not yield and he was unable to mobilize it. The small David happened to weigh the same as he and the iron bed together ... At least before the worst happened.

As serious as it is reversed, David levitated as if an entity lifted him from the cloth of his flannel, leaving the chest protruding and limbs fallen. The boy still did not open his eyes and a mirror cracked. Daniel believed that both would die there and he panicked, cutting off his voice and bringing out his tears. He felt helpless for not helping his beloved brother.

David was thrown violently to the bed and finally reacted with intense cries for help, just the same ones that attracted Daniel to that point. Identical.

Dianè, who was the person who occupied the bathroom, arrived scared to help them. He said he had caught the desperate calls. Daniel and Dianè wanted David to calm down. They gave him water, they embraced him and Dianè prayed to the Virgin of Fatima, promising that if he took David out of his worrying anxious state, he would put "Fatima" to his first daughter. None of the elders noticed the matter until the next morning.

Currently, David is starting the university and Daniel already graduated as an engineer. Both have a niece, Fatima Sofia, who is the apple of her eyes. They never experienced anything similar, although 2009 marked them for life, and it is not for less.
