The flat reputation in the Whaleshares blockchain (and in the future Milk chain) is actually stored as a record of the total number of rshares that a given account has received.

Reputation will not exist on whaleshares other than the reputation systems built on top of it. This way there will be a competition between platforms to offer the best means of correctly assessing which metrics their communities most value.

With that said i would personally recommend doing similarly on milk but offering this reputation as one of many potential choices. :)
