Time is such a very slippery thing, if you don't keep good track of it; it flies away. Most people don't give this enough thought, but actually time is the number one ingredient of a human life. Thus, a good understanding of time can easily translate into a successful life time.

People tend to allow the trivial things, that shouldn't really matter, to continue to distract them from what matters the most. Having a calendar around you, perhaps on your working desk or on the wall in your work space is very good.

Usually, you're better able to see how the days of a month are been spent. Most people just know the date abstractly, but they don't have a clear image of exactly where they are in the month; and how well they're doing in their tasks. A calendar helps you see days clearer.

When you look at a calendar, sometimes that's when it dawns on you how many days you've probably wasted, or not worked as hard as you should have. And looking at the calendar every morning, can make you value your days a lot more.

Only those who value their time, tend to put it to good use at all times. A lot of people may spend their days better, if everyday they looked at the calendar in the morning. This tends to increase long term thinking, which is a crucial part of success.
