Coloring progress

after i have placed all the primary flat colors and then used the dark and light colors in the drawing, i need to blend them to make them more smooth.
i am thinking of drawing over the sketch layer which i normally don't do because i want to keep the sketch visible so its shown that it was originally a pen sketch.
but to make it better i might try that
