Promoting Elite Players: Newsletter Day 10

"That's some great progress you made this week," my sister said to me.

That made me think. "Hold on a second. Maybe we have been making a lot of progress. Maybe I'm the only one that can't see this. And perhaps my impatience is coming from years spent getting here, which has nothing to do with what I'm creating today."

I would love to have 200 customers for Elite Players: Newsletter tomorrow, at the snap of a finger. But the reality is, this takes time. If my entire email list subscribed, we would far and exceed those numbers, but accurate thinking dictates only about 3% will subscribe. That would create a decent monthly income for us, but it wouldn't take us anywhere near our goal.

For better or for worse, I can't dedicate every waking minute to this project right now. I've got all of an hour per day to edit The Renegade Musician and write my daily entry (you're looking at it), if that. Besides that, the occasional spontaneous social media post seems to be about all I can handle at the moment.

From a broader perspective, though, there is still a laundry list of things to do to make this offer whole, including:

  • Launching paperback and hardcover versions of The Music Entrepreneur Companion Guide (which I'm now convinced we're going to have to call The Music Entrepreneur Secrets because of Amazon KDP's limited understanding of my books)
  • Launching the eBook, paperback, and hardcover versions of The Renegade Musician
  • Bringing Members Only Audios up to date
  • Making a video for the Elite Players: Newsletter sales page
  • Integrating the offer with PDF Vault (and other freebies)

And that's not even getting to the marketing stuff. That's just the practical content side of things that still needs to be handled for the offer to have full integrity. This is going to take time.

But if I look at all with a level head, I can see where we have made some significant progress.

For instance, I finally feel like I'm onto a real strategy, as I was sharing yesterday. The entrepreneur in me wants to get this all sorted at the wave of a magic wand, but my time and energy are limited. There is a learning process to this, and I'm not going to have it all figured out by tomorrow.

There are also going to be more demands on my time in the weeks and months to follow, and I will need to adapt and adjust. I hate being "realistic," but I'm realizing that, right now, pragmatism might be more crucial to my wellbeing and equilibrium than previously thought.

Honestly, the thing I'm looking forward to most in the coming month or so is self-care.
