Programming Tutorial #1 (Hello, World!)

Hello and welcome, steemians to my first programming tutorial.

Here, I will be creating the simple "Hello, World!" Program in PHP, so if you have already done this you can simply skip over this tutorial, next tutorial we will start building a login system.

Before Starting this tutorial, make sure you have read This Setup Guide (By Me)
This will show you how to set up a web environment (Wamp/Xampp) and an editor (PHPStorm / Notepad++)

So, fire up PHPStorm or Notepad (the editor) and Wamp or Xampp (the server) then follow the below:

Create a file named index.php in the htdocs or www directory (See the last tutorial for location).

This is what code will look like in this post!

inside this new file you have created, type:

<?php
    echo 'Hello, World!';
?>

save it, and then visit http://localhost , http://localhost:8080 or http://localhost:[port]

If this doesn't work, make sure you have started your server and that the file is saved in the right place, and if you are sure of this, here are some troubleshooting tips:

Check whether the wamp logo is orange or red, if so: Try these or Google It! or DuckDuckGo it

Xampp not working? Google? or DDG?
