I shall write a Minecraft mod. Day #8
Look at my sword, my sword looks amazing.
Today morning I started looking for resources on creating swords. I have found this very useful tutorial: https://bedrockminer.jimdo.com/modding-tutorials/ - which got me started and then forced me to find something else when I realized that 1.12-1.08=0.04. Sample code was not compatible.
The guys at McJty helped me get the sword done. Possibly the most involving work so far was pairing with Fergus to paint a sword. Isn't it the most beautiful sword ever?
I split the project back into packages and added ModItems as McJty guys had it in the initial project. While it's redoing certain things, it's also a lot clearer this way.
What I have done:
- A sword
- Naming and project layout refactoring
- A github
I have created a repo: https://github.com/breadcentric/fergusmod - hope you like it.
I will now slow down significantly as I don't know when I will be able to write the mod next time. I'll try to do some reading on further steps.
A quick look at the sunset and nighty-night!
