Solidity is a language similar to Javascript, Java (with Class like syntax), used to write smart contracts on Ethereum Blockchain.
Solidity is a Turing complete language - which is made to fit into DApps development over Ethereum.

Here, I have thought of starting the series on "Ethereum Smart Contract Programming Tutorials".
The best way to begin coding your contracts is to go with Remix IDE.
As we go with this tutorial, we will get to see, how powerful Solidity is in order to code contracts for Voting, Crowdfunding, blind auctions, multi-signature wallets and more.
You can also proceed with Python language. For this, Ethereum uses a language called Serpent (similar to Python).
For this you need Pythereum.
