5 enemies of productivity
Productivity is the key to success in almost anything, isn’t it? But why something so obvious is on the same time so, but so, difficult to achieve? It’s because we can’t recognize easily what are the real problems on our fight. That’s why I’ve listed here the 5 main enemies of productivity.
1- Social Medias
A lot of people lose hours of their days on social medias. Maybe Facebook, sometimes instagram and even twitter can be traps if you use them more than you should. One of the reasons that people can’t see how clearly they are wasting time with this is because we waste this time in homeopathic doses. 1 minute of facebook between 10 minutes of work will make you lose 10% of your productivity or more. And if think a little harder, you will lose a day of work in 10 days!
2- Don’t sleep when you need to
The electricity is one of the greatest discoveries of all time, and that’s a fact. But our regular sleeping hours was affected by it. Today we have a lot of problems because we can’t stop holding ours smartphones on bed. You can’t work properly if you didn’t sleep enough hours.
3- Lack of planning
Maybe that’s one of the fiercest enemies of productivity. If you don’t know where to go, you are literally lost. Deadlines can be a good way to start. Maybe you can also start with the most difficult tasks on the morning, and them leave the most easy for the lack of energy in the end of the day. See my last post about some tools that can help you https://steemit.com/productivity/@vidaplena/apps-can-help-productivity.
4- Debts
Nobody has a clear mind if they don’t know how are going to pay the bills. That’s is one of the countless mind barriers for good work. But you can do better if you make a plan to kill one debt at time. Sometimes this is the easiest way to stay on a good track for a better future. Start knowing how much you owe to everyone, so you can finally decide where to start.
5- Family Fights
Few people consider how much a relationship with problematic people could affect our attitudes. Sometimes a recent marriage, or maybe a health problem with a relative could start fights that would be easily avoided with some honesty talk. So always try to express your feelings in a way that the others could understand.
