The One With 6 MORNING HABITS TO KICK-START A PRODUCTIVE DAY

Hello everyone! Have you already had your cup of coffee this morning?

Today I want to share some productivity tips for the mornings. The first hour of the day is crucial and influential to how your day will go. So it is important to have a mindful routine in place to make sure you kick start a productive day. I would like to share some morning habits that will help you start a great morning.

1 NO SNOOZE

Choose a time to get up. Tell yourself that snooze button is not an option. There is a method called ‘5 4 3 2 1 ‘. It’s quite self-explanatory – you just count from 5 to 1 and then get up.

2 WATER

If you wake up in the morning and feel tired and rough, it might be that your body is dehydrated. As we are made of 60% water, after sleeping for 6 to 7 hours, it has used all his resources. To be more, water will fire your metabolism, helps your body flush out toxins and gives you brain fuel.

3 STRECH OUT

Stretching first thing in the morning has several health benefits, including muscle and joint flexibility, stress relief and improved circulation. Doing only a 5 minute stretch will help you get rid of the stiffness.

4 GOOD BREAKFAST

I think by now we all know how breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast kick starts your metabolism, helping you burn calories throughout the day. Consuming a filling breakfast will greatly decrease hunger and cravings through the day. Some of my favorite meals are: oatmeal, yoghurt with berries, banana and granola, omelet or simple sandwich with veggies.

5 UPLIFTING MUSIC / MOTIVATIONAL VIDEO

You might want to start your morning with upbeat music, or you might prefer something more relaxing and calming. Whatever you choose, be sure it makes you feel good and ready for the day. I like to swap music to motivational videos. There are a ton on Youtube and take only 5 to 10 minutes. Yes, motivational videos tend to be very cheesy, but sometimes that is what you need on a rough morning when you don't want to face your giant to do list.

6 NO PHONE

Turn off notifications for the first hour of the day, if it is possible. I have realized that spending the first hour of the day having coffee and focusing on yourself will make you more confident than scrolling through Instagram. In the mornings I feel like my mind is so sharp and crisp, so I use it to study or spend time on business. And also it is the perfect time in the morning to do some journaling, or plan the day and week ahead.
