Is procrastination actually a waste of time?
Most of us have these moments, you are determined to finish your work before every deadline, you are training intensively and you get a good night's sleep, life seems beautiful.
You have this motivation and energy for a period, then comes the relaxation period of the body & mind.
You daydream a lot, play video games maybe, watch movies or TV shows, you feel like there are no results. This for some individuals is procrastination.
So that you understand what I'm going through, in October and November I felt like I was really working towards my goals, I was coding for the startup I was working on, training like hell, even gave up on socialising with a lot of people.
Then the code was not working anymore, didn't know why so I became frustrated and I started to lose sleep, binge watched some Netflix, video games etc.
But what I've learned from this, is that not all is a waste of time, I actually believe that it depends what you're "procrastinating" on. For example: maybe you're watching a show where you see the person you'd like to become or what kind of life you'd like to have (for me it was Punisher and I watched it mostly for the character of Frank Castle which I find myself in).
Not every downfall can be a step back, you are who you are today because of the failures and successes you had.
If you don't feel like working 10h, but only 1h, it's still fine, just listen to your body and whatever excites will help you make it in the future, just stop thinking to much.
