systematical thinking and how to think outside the box

here's an idea I've been playing around with lately, to solve a problem we're always told to think outside the box, and that basically means coming up with something unusual, out of tradition, and I've been wondering how to actually do that without calling it a hunch or luck.

well to think outside the box we first have to understand what the box is, and the box in most situations is a system, think about it, we humans are obsessed with organizing and making up rules and prohibition, that's what we call a system, and all we have to do to think outside the box is to understand those rules and prohibitions, get familiar with the organizing system ...and then find the weak spot, a gap in the system, something unexplored, heck maybe even a design flaw, then come up with a way to use that to your advantage, three simple steps to solve problems creatively.
at the end of the day thinking outside the box is just systematical thinking, which is something that's almost instictual to do.
