We've become so dominated by fear as a society. What would have happened if once someone said "I'll never allow some government friendly company to run wires to my house with listening devices on them!"

We'd never have had the telephone, or any of the advancements that came from it... we wouldn't even have this platform to discuss such things on.

We were a braver people then. Less terrified of the world moving around us.

Damn shame in my book. If we weren't so busy fighting advancements, imagine how far we'd have come.
