Seems to be a weakness of Steemit that whenever someone raises something like this it just has to hang in the air rather getting addressed by those in a position to do something about. Nothing unusual, in the unaccountable world of the internet, but a pity a better way can't be found on a platform that has been so well (and so benignly) thought out in so many ways.
