It is not that expensive either, especially if you already have a friend to help by 3D printing some of the parts - you can purchase only the electronic and mechanical parts that you cannot 3D print.

Might actually do a part of the series about that at some point, should be fun to build another 3D printer and explain the process for everyone that might be interested in knowing what to expect from a DIY 3D printer.

Would be cool, I'd like to read it.
