RE: 3D Printing: How to Make Something Yourself and Then 3D Print It

in #printing3d8 years ago (edited)

These are great articles. It's too bad the they are too unique for the site to support with high payouts at this time. I'll do my part and vote at 30min. Maybe we can form a guild to support 3D printing content! See here the steemit guild system

I'm testing myself to see how long will I keep on writing :)

I've read about your idea about the guild system, it could be a possible solution to some of the issues like not having enough people with more voting power and knowledge in vast area of topics.

Currently unless you write about something more generic as a topic, no matter how good it is, it mostly goes unnoticed and as results authors of such content get discouraged and just stop writing about it. You can of course sometimes get lucky and score a whale vote, but this works only temporary to encourage you to continue for a while more.

There are only 6000-7000 people on here daily. Finding something slot of them like is hard. Right now this is more like we are promotors for the website. I would post links to these articles in other places. They may get people to join. ( though the payouts might be depressing)

The problem that steemit has is managing to keep the good content creators at the moment, it is not that much about the rewards, though that also helps. People that love to write don't do it just for money, it is because they love it and because they want to share their interests, passions, hobbies or whatever with others. If it seems to you that you are writing, but there is nobody there to read it, whatever the topic, what you write, then there is just no point in continue doing it, right? I'm currently getting the feeling that there is nobody there to read most of the things that I write and I'm not writing just about 3D printing :)

I wonder if writers will go to the bigger audience. It might be synereo. They pay you to read instead of vote. Payouts might be bigger there for an author.

That is a possibility if they manage to deliver a lot of interested readers, readers that are not just there for the rewards, and that ain't gonna be easy. Though I also suspect that one of the reasons we don't yet have an official post views counter on steemit is also because most of the articles do not get a lot of views, unless they go trending of course.
