Biggest changes 3d printers will bring to the world !

in #printers7 years ago

3d printers have been among us for some time now (more than two decades ), has gain popularity among masses in this past 3 years . So what can you do with it ? , how is it different from the normal printer (well i am asking this becz. one of friends thought 3d printer is used to make one of those 3d cards .. ;) ) . 3d printers can be used to make 3d model that
we can use like your phone cover , cups , spoons , toys ,spare parts for drones etc.

These are some of the present use cases ,if I were to talk about the future
(even know some of them are being tested)
the first one in the list and the most important one.

1 : Printing working human organs

A 3D printer can also be used to pile organic matter, systematically layer by layer to build tissue and organs. The technology is still in its infancy though, but by now you should be able to see the potential this technology has to save lives. This will help cut down the long wait patients have to endure for matching, healthy organ replacements.
Doctors can instead take the right cells from the patients body and use the necessary technology to print out the required organ from that base.

With this technology some experts predict that we are going to live for 101 years easily. With more reprinted organs
easily available its cost is going to reduce . This may take a few years but its going to happen .

This are some of the organs that are already printed.

Organs that have been successfully printed and implemented in a clinical setting are either flat, such as skin, vascular, such as blood vessels, or hollow, such as the bladder. When artificial organs are prepared for transplantation, they are often produced with the recipient's own cells.

The Number of Donors

While 36 persons per million of population donated organs in Spain in 2014, 35 donated in Croatia, 27.02 donated in the United States, and only 0.34 donated in India.

Severe lack of organs and poverty are the reasons why illegal organ trading is thriving. Organ donation should not be an example of unethical commerce; we must restore its value.

If this technology succeeds in the future and we are able to print livers, kidneys ,stomach etc.
What makes this method better than normal organ transplant is that the cells for the printed organs can be taken from the donor so the compatibility rate is very high (almost 100% i think).

2: No need to cook food just print it.

Who would have thought that something quicker that fast food would have existed but it does well not exactly .
The modern 3d printers can only print (make ) chocolates and nutella .

The Discov3ry Extruder (part of the 3d printer) is currently on Kickstarter, and the champaign is very successful. As for today, already more than 82,000 Canadian dollars have been raised from the crowd funding website, while the project will continue until July 15. The initial goal was to raise 30,000 Canadian dollars, which means the company’s staff has a proper day job for the upcoming months. Early birds were able to buy their own extruder for as little as 249 Canadian dollars, after which they will be delivered by this year’s October.

Here are some of the printers that are being developed today.

The 3D Everything Printer from TNO

One organization that seems to be furthest along in food printing may be TNO (or Nederlandse Organisatie voor Toegepast Natuurwetenschappelijk Onderzoek, if you like syllables). This Dutch research group has been researching food printing since 2012 and seems to really look at food printing as an important technological advancement, and not just a kitchen novelty.

The company is already working on barley and other ingredients . so hopefully we would be able to print pasta, pizza for
our lunch and dinner.

#3 Manufacturing Car parts and replacements

Advancements in this fields are already taking place where companies like ford are using it to print car parts.
At this point, an aftermarket car part made by a 3D printer could save you hours and hundreds of dollars, or it might simply snap in half. But just as computer-aided design rewrote automotive engineering in the 1980s, 3D printing is looking to revolutionize the replacement-parts business, allowing car owners to create precise copies in their own garages, albeit with varying degrees of success at this early stage.

The 3d printed parts will not only be cheap now no third party retailer can rob you and if your are creative enough you can create your own parts with custom design.

For CAD (design software mostly used by mechanical engineers ) users who can design their own new parts . Now you can easily print spoons , plates clips other household items that we can use .Imagine what you will have to do if your playstation or xbox controllers joystick was broken option one use it as it is , or buy a new one now you can just print it or use take someones help who has one.

beyblade

For people who want to step it up (for kids actually ) being able to print their own beyblades or transformer action figures will be cool. forget the expensive ones that

I am ending my list here do tell me what you guys find most interesting or what you think i should cover next.
