Why Buy Ammo Cans? 25 Survival Uses

in #prepping7 years ago

Some very good ideas in this video for using Ammo cans. They are pretty cheap for the quality of the product, you can pick up new ammo cans for about $10-15 for the .50 cal cans and about $12-8 for the smaller .30 cal cans and you can get the used military surplus ones for even cheaper.

A couple good uses I like to do with ammo cans is using one as a winter survival kit. They're made metal which is super sturdy for putting in the back of the car or truck and you don't have to worry about breaking anything in them. Another good idea for them is making a first aid kit out of one and you can throw it in the car when you go camping or take it out on the boat because all the cans have a rubber seal that makes them very water proof.

Enjoy the video.

I have a ton of these, mostly 40mm and 50 cal. ones. They are very practical and organize a lot of my shooting gear very well. A friend of a friend buys them through government liquidation and other auction sites, has the space to store them, and then sells them to people for good prices. I'm pretty sure I only paid $20 bucks a piece for the 40mm ones!

I keep a bunch of these myself. Excellent prep item for storage.

I use the .30 cal cans to store nickles, since I stock up on nickles because of thw copper in them.

Often if you visit your local Goodwill store you can find these for $1-$2 a piece. Great video tho :)

I'll have to do that thanks for the info.
