The Gunners left it late on Sunday afternoon after West Ham almost did a Newcastle but kept their hold to put four past the Baggies late on in the match.

It took 51 minutes for Arsenal to break the deadlock when Nacho Monreal smashed home on volley from a Granit Xhaka corner kick. The Spaniard continuing his fine scoring form this season.

It took 13 minutes for West Ham to silent the noise at the Emirates when Marko Arnatouvic levelled for West Ham with a well take powerful low drive from the left side of the penalty area into the far corner.

It was looking like a match destined for a share of the spoils but the introduction of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang proved vital, giving Arsenal more options and threats in front of goal. This however was not fruitful until the last ten minutes when Arsenal netted three times in 7 minutes.

First, it was Aaron Ramsey who saw his cross from the left flank end in the back of the net after being ducked by young defender, Declan Rice and missed by Aubameyang, before Alexandre Lacazette scored his 12th premier league goal of the campaign, benefiting once again from Aubameyang's generosity. The Gabonese has now being involved in 9 goals in his first mine games (6 goals and 3 assists).

Lacazette took his season's tally to 13 in the 89th minute after a fine work from Ramsey on the left flank who then found the Frenchman with a well placed pass to allow him fire home under the arm of Joe Hart who prior to the second goal had kept Arsenal at bay with fine saves.

The win means Arsenal have won their last six home games in the league, scoring at least three times, a total of 20 goals. This leaves them in a good form for the impending visit of Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Europa League semifinal tie on Thursday.
