"Still not over": another crisis in Kerala

in #prayforkerala6 years ago (edited)

As we all knew about the crisis that made the lives of every keralite dreadful. Having them loose their ancestral property, beloved belongings, the most painful, their own family members. He cannot imagine how hard it must have been for all those people who lost a lot in the surge.

Now, with all the help contributed by all the people around the world has made them physically relieved but all this contribution couldn't help to sustain there mental shock.

As of today, the situation in Kerala has improved but still there are some areas in which relief hasn't yet sent. But as this problem being such a crisis to them, it doesn't end here. A major crisis is following the huge surge in Kerala and i.e. the emergence of dead earth worms at various agricultural lands in Kerala.

According to statstics, around 44% of Kerala is covered in agricultural land. And most of their economy is produced by all the hard work & dedication put in by them i.e. the people in Kerala by cultivating and harvesting there crops. But the surge caused water logging at a large scale covering most of the agricultural land causing the death of huge number of earth worms beneath the crust & emergence of all of them when the water cleared out.

Mass earthworm deaths from parts of Wayanad & Idukki has been discovered. And as the earthworm maintain soil fertility and their demise after the surge could cause another crisis.

The government should be multi-tasking i.e. it should be sending relief to the areas where there is still unrelief & they should be focusing on how to counter act the situation of this mass demise of earth worms causing the farmers going through another mental distress.

All we can do is pray & support all those who are suffering. And we all should aim to make every citizen of India aware of this situation so as they can contribute at there level best to coverup their losses.
