In fact, the significance of any pilgrimage is in the sense that they are staying in the place-special Sage-Maharishi, Saint-Mahatma, his ascetic or have sacrificed there. The greatness of the place increases due to the Mahatma, Santo. Similarly, Prayagraj has been given the name of Tirthraj, because on the banks of this Sangam there have been many Rishi-Maharsi temples since time immemorial. The pilgrim is called by which the man's swimming is called a pilgrimage. In this way the holy place is called pilgrimage, where our interaction also becomes sacred. In this Ramayana and Mahabharata, this is the description of this shrine, it is also a special discussion in other mythological texts. Bharadwaj was the ashram of the sage on this gathering. Maharishi Yagnavalkya used to come here equally It is believed that many sages-Maharishi Magh used to spend a month coming here in the month. The spiritual satsang used to be on this holy gathering. Today the natural shade here has changed greatly. There are now house houses in place of the forest. But when Swamiji came here in the year 1923, the area of Jhansi was very deserted. There was no bridge connecting Jhansi and Allahabad. It had to come across this by foot or boat. The overall nirvavata was shadowed. Before this, Swamiji had visited Jhansi while traveling Kashi in Sun-1903-04.
Jhansi's old name was Pratatanpuri. Under the Prayag Mandal, part of Triveni comes. The eastern part was called Pratishthanpuri. Which today is known by the name of Jhansi. The glory of Prayag is full of our scriptures. It has been named as the Tirthaaj name.
Maharishi Sadafdev Ashram is located on Angkanget in the south-east of this same Pratishthanpuri. From where we come to the ashram people regularly walk till Sangamat in the morning. Today the situation of Ganges-Jamuna has become such that where pure air should be found, there is a lot of corpse and bones of corpses.
