Columbus: His discoveries

On August 3,1492 Columbus sailed and headed west for 2 months,he landed on an island of the Bahamas,San Salvador on October 12,1492. He thought he had landed on one of the Spice Islands, he called the native Indians.

Columbus had made 4 voyages to the New World during 1492 and 1504. He explored the coasts of Cuba,Jamaica,Hispaniola. Columbus also arrived at the mainland of Central and South America and travelled to the Orinoco River. When he came back from his 4th voyage he fell sick and died in 1506.
