Travelogue: day 3/ stop1 —> Kanvashram

Today we started early in the morning at 10 am to Kanvashram from our in laws near Najibabad.

I was anticipating typical hill side curvy roads but to my surprise it was as normal drive as in NCR except it was free of all kinds of pollution.

We arrived at kanvashram by 11:30 am. Kanvashram is the birth place of Bharat son of King Dushyant and Rishi Daughter Shakuntala. India is called Bharat due to this brave son.

I felt excited when I recently read his story in a news paper 📝 and decided to visit this place in first visit to my village as this historic place is just 60km from my birth place.

Today I am feeling satisfied to take my photo at the place where Bharat was born.

These are some remains found from the site and they are more than 5000 yr old. GOI need to do more to make this place known in world. I have many more stories to tell from this trip and I will share them in my upcoming posts.
