The Importance of Practice

I’m talking about acquiring new skills as fast as possible and practicing until you get those skills down. I want to learn, I want to be better, I need to get better at my skills to make money for my family. That’s how you need to think.

In order to practice like that, you have to have a specific goal in mind. Choose what you are going to get better at, what do you want to practice on? Have a specific time set aside for you to practice that thing. Put the time aside and practice deliberately.

Get rid of the distractions and learn how to say no, you don’t need things getting in the way. Go outside of your boundaries, make it difficult but it shouldn’t be impossible.

Make it difficult enough that you feel joy from progressing but not so hard that you don’t even want to practice it.

You know you need to get practice in at that thing that’s in the back of your mind that you want to do but are not doing.

In any economy, in order for you to thrive, you have to have the ability to master things quickly, the ability when things change you can figure it out and get it done, and the ability to produce quality and timely products or services at an expert level.

Write it down if you have to. The reality is, if you just think about it, you might brush it off and say you’ll do it tomorrow.

Make the commitment to yourself and practice.

Knowledge is infinite, learn the valuable and great knowledge like what you’ve learned here, and practice on the things you know you should be practicing on.
