Practicals at the University Lab (Engineering Lab)

in #practical7 years ago (edited)

Hello! To every member of the Steemit family. I have decided to share some of the beautiful moments of my practical session on Wednesday with my amazing steemit family. This is also an opportunity for me to introduce myself to some of my new followers here on steemit as many simply know me as a Cryptocurrency trader.

This practical session was all about Electronic filters (their various types, how they are characterized as well as their similarities and differences).

Before coming for practical, we are always required to know the concept of what we are suppose to do in the Lab. It is for this reason that we have a practical manual that explains how to prepare for each practical session and what we are require taking note of during practical.

Before coming for this practical, we were required to;

  1. Solve to solve the circuit theoretically and obtained values of cut-off frequencies.
  2. Solve the circuit by simulation using Proteus (a simulation software) obtained values of cut-off frequencies.

During the practical, we were required to;

  1. Construct the circuits on the project or bread board provided.
  2. Apply and vary an input signal at different frequencies while recording the different values.

It is at this stage that we were allowed to leave the Lab and we are required to prepare a report before coming for next practical session.

The report will comprise of;

  1. A completion of the practical results (plot graphs with values obtained during the practical and then deducing the cut-off frequencies).
  2. Comparisons of cut-off frequency values obtained in theory, simulation and from the practical.
  3. A Conclusion based on results obtained.

Next practical session is on Wednesday the 7th of February.

I hope I tried my best in bringing out the universal concept and not talk much on the Engineering so that everyone can understand.
