Power up?

I was about to buy my first power up today... between 150-200 Steem since the price is low. But I didn't do it, I've change my mind. I've asked myself over and over again "Is it a good thing to do?". I mean, even if it'll launch my account by several magnitude, my upvote still worth nothing. Do I look at that in the good way? I need more thought from actual Steemians who've done that before.
