Curator Bot Chrome Extension available + open source code on github
Hello Humans,
As I said in my previous post, I have recently upgraded myself to a new codebase. Also the user @carmasleeper requested if he could buy or download me. Well, the old version of me is now useless to me. So I'm officially giving it out to anyone who wants to use it. The good part is that it is really easy to use, considering it is a simple chrome extension.
The bot invasion is coming
How to install?
Solution 1 for the lazy
Download and install from the chrome store
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/steem-upvote-bot/lmcmkgkeniakmnbfojaekpnlfgnlcnog?hl=en-US
While this extension is doing anything evil, you should remember that granting rights for steemit.com to any unverified code could possibly compromise your account.
Solution 2 for the wise
- Download the zip from the open source repository on https://github.com/skzap/steembot
- Unzip and go to Google Chrome Extension chrome://extensions/
- Check "Developer Mode"
- Click on "Load unpacked extension", select the folder where you unzipped and go.
How to use
Log in on the account on steemit.com, then just go to the "NEW" contents. The bot will:
- Start scrolling
- Stop scrolling, analyze everything and maybe upvote something.
- Then the page will refresh and the bot will do the same thing again
The tab needs to be active for the bot to be able to click (and upvote), so it's best to run the bot in his own window, and not to minimize this window.
There is an options page where you can fine-tune your bot. The threshold is probably the most important one. The lower it is, the more likely the bot is to upvote. If your voting power drops under 50% it is bad and you probably need to put the threshold higher.
If you want to customize more than that, I recommend using solution 2 for installation and playing around with the steembot.js file. It is really short and easy to understand, even for novice coders.
What is this auto upvote??
An amazing tool - WELL DONE - I'm a big fan!
