First Helicopter Ride Experience :D

in #powerhousecreatives5 years ago (edited)

Good Morning Friends :)

I hope today everything would be awesome, for you, and for me, and the entire human race ;-) - I'd like to say, cue Michael Jackson's song, but apparently we cannot really listen to his anymore :-/

Yesterday my car did not want to start. Yesterday my son had to catch a ride due to the bloody car, and we had a rather heavy wet snow, so it was a panicky kind of yucky morning lol Yesterday, for more than 2 hours my husband and I had to console a very upset 9 years old. Something happened at school between him and his teacher, but he did not want to share us of what exactly. He did not want us to call the school, did not want us to talk to the teacher, he decided he does not want to go to school anymore. PERIOD. I hate it when shit is up, you know the mama bear in me, wanna smash the door and shit, as am unable to be there when he needed a hug at least, if you get what I mean.

So yeah, I truly hope today would be awesome if not better than yesterday!

Enough for the crappy part. Today I would like to share you our fun experience of first helicopter ride :D

Annually in our town there is a hockey on the pond event, for Crystal Cup.

Canadians, I tell ya, we are all crazy bunch :P Even on - 42 C, we would still have outdoor activities :P Our nose turned red, our cheek turned rosy, and the littles turned into snot-nosed little punks (lol), but we love outdoor activities hahaha Do we not know better? We are not polar bear. We need to be black/brown bear, hibernate in Winter time lol

Anyways. At the event, there was a chopper ride service, offered.

It was SCARY.

I don't know how people like flying with such a tiny engine and tiny space, and seriously you can feel when the winds blowing strong. SCARY.

The boys enjoyed it, obviously. I did too, but I truly felt it was just too light, as I could feel movements hahaha I got scared for sure.

The view was amazing from the chopper, though. We flew above the frozen lake, spying some houses nearby (lol, I kid of course), and we stopped mid-air to check the hockey game below us. Pretty cool.

The chopper ride was not free, though. For others, they had to purchase some kind of meal tickets, and if their numbers were called, then the winners could go for the chopper ride. Luckily, father's work place sponsored it, so we only had to arrive at the spot and hopped on for a ride :D

There were many activities at the frozen lake, not just hockey. Games, face paint, photo booth, and whatnot were available for the kids. So it was truly fun despite the freezing days.

I recorded a little of our ride, if you'd like to watch :)

Have you been on a helicopter ride (on a windy day, hence, scary) before? Did you like it? :D

Thanks for reading and I will see you later!

Oh my word, -42. I would have died and gone to hell. By choice. Much warmer. What an awesome experience though, to go in a helicopter.

Hope the little one is feeling better and you've got to the bottom of the issue. And, of course I hope the car is now also better! LOL Actually, I know that's not a laughing matter!
