The Last Big Snowball - My PowerHouseCreatives Contest Entry

This is my entry to the #PowerHouseCreatives(@steemitbloggers) community contest put on by @zord189.

When spring finally arrives the snow can begin to melt quickly but not so with those dense packed creations of massive snowballs which had been laboriously pushed through the snow packing on as many layers as possible.

So when the grass starts showing these gigantic snowballs look like something very alien!

Last of the Giant Snowballs

Youngsters are totally drawn to these things! Our Pre-K class rushed out to inspect these curious balls of snow sitting out in the open playground full of curiosity.
What could they be wondering?
They seem to be trying to figure out how they got there.
They would poke at it and look at it from all different angles plus they even grouped together to try to move this monster!
When that didn't work they found it to be an excellent object for climbing on and for the few lucky ones who made it on top, to sit on.
Spring snow is such a marvelous thing, so sticky and the temperatures are more pleasant to be out playing in it.
When the temperatures start to go above freezing and the snow is still on the ground, I call that snowman making weather!
And why limit yourself to just snowmen!
You can make snow dogs, snow cats or snow bunnies. Let your imagination go wild and sculpt away on that perfect molding material of sticky snow!
Then there is snow forts and you can have wonderful snowball fights.
All these possibilities make for such a delight and is a constant draw to the children to have some fun!
Heck! Adults can have some fun too and I've seen some pretty spectacular sculpting done from grownups!
Or it makes for a fun time for the whole family but be sure to grab your camera and take some shots for with warmer spring days all the snow will disappear, even these gigantic snowballs and all your fancy sculptures too!
Next time you have snowman making weather make sure to get out and enjoy it - you'll have a blast!
