Whether you like it or not, whether you appreciate it or not - at the end of the day, when the fair weather friends have done their time, when the girlfriends or boyfriends have been outgrown, or shown their true colours... when everyone else is missing in action - there are a select few, that despite the arguments, difference of opinion or polar opposite character traits - are THERE for you! The one's that would have your back no matter what and ALWAYS have your best interests at heart, even when YOU are not able to see the wood from the trees! - Your FAMILY!!!!!!
Nobody will test your limits like your family, but at the end of the day when you sit down and count your coins, none of them hold much value when those that mean the most to you are not there to share in your pleasure. Life is short, so be mindful of your priorities.
This awesome initiative that was started by @wesphilbin. The idea being to inspire and motivate one another by sharing our mindful contemplation. I am a total sucker for anything pro-active when it comes to our mind and heart. It would be great to see more people jump on board with this. Thank you to @thekittygirl for my initial invitation, and I invite @traciyork, @dswigle, @justineh and @meesterboom to follow suit.

I can honestly say that throughout my entire life, family has always been there. It doesn't matter who isn't talking to who, whose feelings got hurt or what or when the last time was that you spoke with your sibling. There are nine of us so you can get hectic trying to keep up with everybody and their families. But I never think twice, and I never have to second-guess whether it will be done or not. If I need somebody, family is there. Almost before I hang up the phone. I actually do this initiative in many of my writings but I never tagged it oh, so I guess that I may have to give up a tag and push it in. Great write.

Indeed, at the end of the day, eventhough families are the ones know our inside out even our smelly body parts lol they still love us for who we are. We used to jokingly said those who smell each other's fart stick together. Muahaha.

You are right. no one else can really test you on this except your family and, there were times when they really TEST you.

And I am blessed to have that sort of relationship with my mom too. Very precious.
Families are the bedrock of society Lady @jaynie and sadly this new world is trying its best to eradicate families.
We see this so often in our work with the aged.
Parents dumped and children disappearing to all parts of the globe.
Mr X was sitting on a bench when we arrived at the old age home and he waved me over to apologise for not attending the service.
Excitedly he told me that his son was on his way to pick him up for lunch.
Well, when we left he was still sitting there and when Marian enquired from the Matron the next day, she said that his son never arrived and that Mr. X refused to eat on the day as his son was taking him for lunch.
We took him for lunch a few days later.
