About Masmic

Incentivising time that users spend trying to help those who have questions, askers have to attach a bounty of XLM with each question they ask.

The bounty is then shared with the best answers and upvoters, encouraging voters to choose better answers, thereby distributing the reward fairly.

In other words, you get paid to answer questions.

(BTW, the MASMIC platform has many other simple user actions that earn XLM too!)

What is a word most people pronounce wrongly?

Most people mispronounce "remuneration", usually saying "renumeration" instead.

Remuneration: money paid for work or a service."they work in excess of their contracted hours for no additional remuneration"

synonyms: payment, pay, salary.

What do you still remember about old school computers?

How I went from hating the screeching sound of the modem's "handshake" to anxiously waiting for it!

Which two animals could you combine together to create something straight out of hell?

A test tube embryo and a ram, of course...

Is cooking an important life skill? Why or why not?

Because of cooking's nutritional bio-availability enhancement and diminishing effect on harmful food-borne pathogens, cooking is considered a major skill that has advanced the human race.

Crypto-Wallet?

I've used the Mycelium wallet for years without a hitch.

If you could fly what would you do?

To be and remain stealthy:

In the U.S., I would always fly at night and in the zones/altitudes approved for privately owned drones by the FAA.

Similarly, in other countries, I would refrain from taking flight until I reviewed their country-specific private aircraft regulations (if any).

During emergencies, the wisest choice would be to fly nape of the earth under the radar.

What is the most creative or craziest insult you've heard?

"Son, you are the no.1 greatest underachiever in the world." - My Mother

All about mobile phone .tar. and .mdb files (Pit, BL, AP, CSC, HOME-CSC)

How to unbrick a phone

How to install FRP files via Odin

ADB Tools

MTP protocols

How to unlock OEM, setup phone USB debugging, and Google account bypass

Pie - Android version 9

I learned all this because of a bricked Samsung Galaxy J6 SM-J600G.

Which villain had a good point?

When did you realize someone was a genuine friend?

When you trust another person enough to put your life in his hands and he does the same with you - even though it's not part of the job description or a mission priority, THAT'S when you know you have a genuine friend.

What is a complete waste of time?

Worrying is a complete waste of time.

Most of our imagined worries are exaggerated - or never come about.

A few worries, when genuinely identified, can (and should) be dealt with head on; the sooner, the better.

And the rest of them cannot be influenced whatsoever, so why worry about them?

What free thing is so amazing you can't believe its free?

Unbeknownst to most people, the most amazing thing that's absolutely free for everyone is actually our own consciousness and the reality we can create by our choices in life.

Consciously choosing what we think about is both powerful and difficult to master - especially in today's media saturated culture.

Nevertheless:

"You Go Where You're Looking; You Look Where You're Thinking" - JaiChai

Unfortunately, the vast majority of humans don't know this.

And consequently, their choices are made by others. This relegates all but a few to a world (reality) built by others' choices...

What movie has bad ratings but you personally loved it?

The movie that had bad rating, but I personally loved, was Kevin Costner's "Water World":

source

Waterworld is a 1995 American post-apocalyptic science fiction action filmdirected by Kevin Reynolds and co-written by Peter Rader and David Twohy. It was based on Rader's original 1986 screenplay and stars Kevin Costner, who also produced it with Charles Gordon and John Davis. It was distributed by Universal Pictures.

See:

"Waterworld (1995) - WTF Happened To This Movie?"

In spite of all the production brew-ha-ha and bad press, I loved both the story line and the acting.

What unconventional traits do you find attractive about a person?

The unconventional trait I find extremely attractive is when a person's outward appearance and behavior contradicts their true character. In other words, the opposites of societal stereotypes (e.g., beautiful, sexy women with genius IQs.).

How would humanity change if the life expectancy of humans was 500 years?

Unless the following occurs:

A new paradigm about the global economy is adopted.

Fulfilling activities become recognized as proxies for what was once called "work".

Euthanasia is legalized in every country.

Terraforming/populating other planets is immediately fast-tracked.

I predict this will happen:

500 y/o humans will likely struggle with the same issues we face today, BUT at a magnitude and duration that's ~6.3 times more than what we all normally experience (500 years divided by the current average lifespan of 79 years).

Believing that school was too boring, he dropped out of High School early; only to earn an AA, BS and MBA in less than 4 years much later in life – while working full-time as a Navy/Marine Corps Medic.

In spite of a fear of heights and deep water, he performed high altitude, free-fall parachute jumps and hazardous diving ops in deep, open ocean water.

After 24 years of active duty, he retired in Asia.

Since then, he's been a full-time, single papa and actively pursuing his varied passions (Writing, Disruptive Technology, Computer Science and Cryptocurrency - plus more hobbies too boring or bizarre for most folk).

He lives on an island paradise with his teenage daughter, longtime girlfriend and three dogs.
